Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has overwhelmingly won Sunday's super delegates conference with 80.78 percent. Out of 740 ballots cast, Nana Akufo-Addo had 598 votes, with Alan Kyerematen managing just 59 votes representing 7.98 per cent. Addai Nimoh and Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament Joe Ghartey both obtained 22 votes while Osei Ameyaw had 16 votes. From the results Mr. Stephen Asamoah, the former Information Minister who had 13 votes and former Trade Minister Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku 10 votes have both been dropped from the October National delegates congress. In the Northern Region, , the 2012 presidential hopeful Akufo-Addo obtained  62 votes, with Alan Kyerematen, Joe Ghartey and Addai Nimoh obtaining  4, 2 and 2 respectively with the rest obtaining zero. In the Upper East, Nana Addo 35, Konadu Appraku 1, Addai Nimo 0, Alan Kyeramten 0, Joe Ghartey 0, Asamoah Boateng 0, Osei Ameyaw 0, whilst in the Upper West, Nana Akufo-Addo swept all 32 votes living his contenders with nothing.  Speaking in an interview with Fiila news, a former youth organizer of the party, Anthony Abbeifa Karbo has called for calm within the rank and file of the party since the election is a family one. He indicated that the landslide victory is a litmus test of Nana Addo’s popularity in the entire country. As to all the candidates to succumb to the 2012 flabearer of the party, Abbeifa Karbor says Nana as a person won’t buy to those suggestion as he believes in an atmosphere of completion, even though such a move would have been cost effective. He therefore commended delegates across the country for the confidence reposed in Nana Addo and appeal to them to replicate that in the general delegate conference slated for October.
