Tamale Metro Assembly to impound stray animals

The Tamale Metropolitan Assembly is to impound stray animals found roaming on the streets of the Metropolis and imposes heavy fines on their owners to bring sanity on the roads. The Assembly had observed that stray animals were responsible for some of the accidents in the Metropolis and also cause nuisance on the streets. Owners of such stray animals are also to face prosecution. Mr. Samuel Salam Laar, Tamale Metropolitan Environmental Health Office made this during an interaction with Fiila News.
Stray animals have for the past decades invaded the Tamale Metropolis resulting in a struggle of both animals and commuters for access to the principal streets of the city. City authorities seem to have lost control as the stray animals, notably cattle and sheep as well as goats parade the Central Business District where brisk businesses operate. On sanitation, Mr. Samuel Laar blamed the situation on lack of logistic incapacitating officers to effectively monitor sanitation issues in the metropolis.Tamale Metropolis has now become a lawless city with human beings and animals presenting unimaginable scenes on a daily basis.
