Join hands to rid Tamale Metropolis of Filth

The people of Tamale Metropolis have been charged by the Demanaa of Tamale, Hafix Mohamed Abdulai Choggu to ensure that all hands are put on deck to help rid the region of filth. This he said will prevent the residence from contracting the dangerous cholera disease which has so far claimed more than 120 lives in Ghana from July this year. Demanaa Hafix was addressing the media during a press conference in Tamale concerning some activities that hinders development in the region. On issues of health, Demanaa stated that the Tamale Teaching Hospital is not leaving up to expectation as most nurses and Doctors have been sighted sleeping at night in the cause of duty leaving patience at the OPD with no help in sight at the mercy of mosquitoes. He added that the slogan of the TTH is a real myth as Emergency cases are not taken care of as nurses on duty sleep soundly in the consulting rooms. The Tamale Metropolitan Assembly has been charged to see to it that stray animals that invade the streets of Tamale are controlled to reduce accidents on our major streets. Demanaa Hafix however urged the public to stop cutting trees to replace their containers but rather help the GREEN TAMALE CLEAN TAMALE initiative to plant more trees in the metropolis. He made a call on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Forestry commission to lead the way in the crusade of Green Tamale Clean Tamale to bring development to the Northern Region. A passionate appeal was also made to various departmental heads to support in the transformation of Tamale Metro into a clean and law abiding community where we can live in peace and unity.
