President Mahama has said Ghana’s development has not stalled
despite the economic challenges the country is experiencing. Speaking after
inspecting a road in Sekondi-Takoradi in the Western Region, President Mahama
said the government under his leadership is working vigorously in providing
portable drinking water, road networks, electricity among others to improve
livelihood of the citizenry, hence the country not going back.
Government has come under criticism for failing to the rising cost of
living, the budget deficit and the depreciation of the Cedi. But the President
believes his economic advisory group will put in place measures to halt the
decline of the economy. President Mahama further announced plans of
constructing a 75 kilometer road for residents in the region.
