The Minister of the Interior, Mr. Mark Owen Woyongo, has

agencies to eschew partisan politics since it could conflict with
their line of duty. He said they should be fair and disciplined in all their
endeavours as law enforcers and protectors of the country. The interior
minister said this on during a tour of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS)
and the Police Headquarters. According to Mr. Wayongo, the country appreciated
the work of both the GNFS and the Police Service and that is why the government
is putting in more
efforts to provide them with more logistics. He stated that government had put
premium on the security agencies to improve on their equipment in a conscious
effort to enable them work better. He indicated that government is also making
efforts to address both office and residential problems facing personnel for
Fire Service personnel, adding that these would be budgeted for next year. The Inspector
