Students called to abide by the norms and values of UDS





The Vice Chancellor of the University for Development Studies (UDS) has entreated students of the school to behave maturely and respect the norms and values of the university. Prof. Haruna Yakubu also urged them to be circumspect in engaging in their social activities which may be detrimental to their future. The Vice Chancellor was speaking at the matriculation ceremony of two hundred and thirty-seven (237) fresh Sandwich Graduate students of the University. Out of a total of two hundred and eighty-two applicants who were offered admissions into various Sandwich masters programmes, two hundred and thirty-seven accepted the offer. The University has introduced twenty-four sandwich programmes at the graduate level in the various campuses across the three regions of the north. The programmes include Master of Philosophy, Master of Education, Masters of Arts, Post Graduate Diploma among others in various disciplines. According to Prof. Haruna Yakubu, the programmes are tailored to cater for the needs of worker in the northern sector who cannot join the main stream university education. Prof. Haruna however used the opportunity to appeal to all to assist Management constructively in the efficient running of the university.
