Two die, 29 cases recorded in Bole cholera outbreak



The Cholera outbreak in the Northern Region has reached two communities, Banda-Nkwanta and Jaman in the Bole District, recording 29 cases and two deaths. A maximum of five new cases are reported each day in different facilities in the Bole district.  The Bole District Director for Health Services, Bumawura Ewuntomah Mahama, revealed that several control measures have been put in place to ensure a drastic reduction in the number of cases in the district. The cholera situation in the area according to the health director is the lack of refuse containers and a place of convenience for residents.  As a preventive measure, Bumawura Ewuntomah Mahama said the district has allocated new sites for refuse dumping and cautioned against open defecation.
