The Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) can now boast of a well
equipped with an Ebola isolation centre. As a major health referral facility
serving the three regions of the North, authorities of the hospital have stated
their preparedness to handle the Ebola disease in case of any eventuality. Deputy
Public Relations Officer of the Tamale Teaching Hospital, Ahmed Farid told Citi
News the hospital was ever ready to handle any Ebola patient. According
to him, government has supplied the hospital with the essential tools to handle
the deadly Ebola disease. The Tamale Central Hospital also has an isolated
centre reserved for Ebola patients. The health Minister, Dr. Kweku Agyemang
Manu paid a working visit to some major health facilities in the three regions
of the north. During his visit, he pledged government’s support to establish an
Ebola centre at the Tamale Teaching Hospital. This has become a reality by the
collaborative efforts of authorities of the hospital and the regional health
directorate.
