Chiefs relations with MCE is not good enough-Gulkpegu secretary

The Gulkpegu Palace in the Tamale metropolis has revealed that the collaboration between chiefs in the metropolis and the Metropolitan Chief Executive of Tamale Abdul-Hanan Rahman Gundado is not cordial. The follow of communication between traditional rulers and authorities of the Tamale Metro Assembly has been described as not good enough. This seems to have marred the previous relationship between the assembly and some chiefs especially the Gulkpegu Naa. Mr. Mohammed Rashad, Secretary of the Gulkpegu palace, made this known to Fiila News in an exclusive interview on the sidelines of supposed demonstration that was to be staged by some chiefs against the Mayor of Tamale on Monday. The secretary therefore alluded to the recent football march played between Balck Star and Syli of Guinea in Tamale where the Gulkpegu Naa and his subjects were left disappointed after being promised to pay a courtesy call at the palace and failed. He said later they were wind, the players were able to make time to visit other chiefs. According to Mr. Rashad, the mayor has been fingered because he is the administrative head of the city and should know which palace such strangers ought to visit. Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Assembly will be coming out with a press release on this matter in due course.
