Tamale North New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth
wing has begun recruiting committed party members for training on election
monitoring and policing of the ballot box. This forms part of moves to avoid
rigging in the upcoming 2016 general elections. According to the Tamale north
NPP youth wing Secretary, Abdullah Mohammed Mashoud, the NPP will curtail all
forms of electoral malpractices in 2016 to avoid another election petition
hearing. He thus implored the party’s
youth especially those in the Northern Region to rekindle the spirit of
voluntarism for a resounding victory in
2016. Abdullah Mohammed Mashoud disclosed the formation of watchdog committees
charged with the responsibility of mobilizing and training
NPP youth to protect the ballot in 2016. He commended the NPP National Council
for the appointment of Mustapha Abdul Salam and Anthony Abayifa Karbo as Deputy
national youth Organizer and Deputy national communication Director. Abdullah
Mohammed Mashoud thanked Nana
Addo Danquah Akufo Ado for his inspiration words saying, “As rightly said by
Nana Akufo Ado that we have now to gird our loins, we wish to humbly appeal to
these hard working gentlemen that the journey to the flagstaff house and by
extension salvaging Ghanaians from the corrupt NDC
administration starts now.”
