Pentecost church screen over 200 residents of Taha community



The Church of Pentecost Tamale Area has organized a free medical care for over 200 residents of Taha, a suburb of the Sagnarigu District. The medical screening which was organized by the Kalpohin Assembly of the Church of Pentecost Pastor Jagbier Jaddan Mordecar was under the auspices of the Northern Regional Inter-Tertiary Institution (ITI) Pentecost Students Association (PENSA) and Travelling Secretary Pastor David Amankwaa. The exercise which was organized by the church in collaboration with Tobinco Pharmaceutical Company Limited and DanAdams Pharmaceuticals donated series of drugs in support of the free screening exercise. A team of medical practitioners from Tamale Teaching Hospital as well as medical students from the University for Development Studies supported the exercise, whiles the church members also had evangelism alongside the screening. In interaction with Fiila News, the Northern Regional Inter-Tertiary Institution (ITI) PENSA and Travelling Secretary Pastor David Amankwaa, said as part of the church annual corporate social responsibility to contribute the quota by rescuing the poor and destitute in the society. He added that soul winning is not the only aim of the church but good health promotes healthy worship, hence the wellbeing of members is important. He appealed to other pharmaceutical companies and the general public to support such initiatives in the society.
