PPP to organize regional delegate’s conference

Scores of Progressive People's Party (PPP) members would be converging in the Upper East regional Capital Bolgatanga on Saturday to elect new regional executives to steer the affairs of the party. This is the second edition of its regional delegate’s conference since the party was founded. The founder of the party, Dr. Paa Akwesi Ndoum parted ways with the Convention Peoples Party which he was the flagbearer for several reasons in 2012. The party since its establishment has not lived any stone unturned even though it performed abysmally in the 2011 general elections. Mr. Charles Owusu, Communication Director of the Progressive People Party (PPP) told Fiila News that over 1,400 delegates would be casting their votes at Bolga. He stated that all card bearing members of the party are expected to vote in the conference unlike other parties where the delegates are skewed to some personalities within the party.  Three people are battling for the chairmanship slot, regional organizer 2, secretary 4 and Youth Organizer 6. Mr. Charles Owusu speaking on preparation ahead of the conference on Saturday stated that all security arrangement is set adding that the Electoral Commission is printing ballot papers for the conference.
