Seven bodies rescued in North Gonja



Seven persons have been rescued from unknown number of persons who were drowned yesterday in the North Gonja District after a boat they were travelling capsized in the White Volta. The victims, who were crossing the river when the boat capsized, included the family of the Daboya Police station Officer.  According to Fiila News sources most of the persons onboard the boats were crossing to the Lingbinsi market in the North Gonja District when the boat capsized. In an interview with the Northern regional Coordinator of NADMO, Alhaji Silimboma confirmed the incident to Fiila News saying search is still ongoing to get the missing persons. Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports say seven people are dead including a nursing mother and her 8 month baby
