Mawuena Foundation Ministry, a charitable Christian
organization has donated assorted items worth over 5,000 Ghana ccedis to the
Nyohini orphanage. The items include used clothing, bags of rice, toiletries, 2
Poly Tanks among others. Donating the items to the Orphanage, the Chief
Executive Officer of Mawuena Foundation Ministry, Rev. Cephas Awudzi says he
was motivated by the fact that he was ones an orphan hence the need for the
establishment of the organization to help the vulnerable in society. Mawuenam
Foundation Ministry is a charitable Non-Governmental Organization set up to
focus on the less privileged orphan children and also to support widows. It
also aims at providing for the educational, spiritual, moral and health needs
of the orphan child. Rev. Cephas revealed that the water challenges of the
orphanage will soon be over as plans are far advance by the Foundation to
connect water to the home. According to him the Poly Tanks are for short-term
measures to ameliorate the water situation in the orphanage. Caretaker at the
Orphanage, Madam Augustina Quainoo commended the organization for the kind
gesture, saying the donation especially the poly tanks will go a long way to
curtail the water problem the home faces. She expressed the hope that the
foundation will finally fulfill its promise by connecting water to the home.
