Mawuena Foundation Ministry donates to Nyohini orphanage



Mawuena Foundation Ministry, a charitable Christian organization has donated assorted items worth over 5,000 Ghana ccedis to the Nyohini orphanage. The items include used clothing, bags of rice, toiletries, 2 Poly Tanks among others. Donating the items to the Orphanage, the Chief Executive Officer of Mawuena Foundation Ministry, Rev. Cephas Awudzi says he was motivated by the fact that he was ones an orphan hence the need for the establishment of the organization to help the vulnerable in society. Mawuenam Foundation Ministry is a charitable Non-Governmental Organization set up to focus on the less privileged orphan children and also to support widows. It also aims at providing for the educational, spiritual, moral and health needs of the orphan child. Rev. Cephas revealed that the water challenges of the orphanage will soon be over as plans are far advance by the Foundation to connect water to the home. According to him the Poly Tanks are for short-term measures to ameliorate the water situation in the orphanage. Caretaker at the Orphanage, Madam Augustina Quainoo commended the organization for the kind gesture, saying the donation especially the poly tanks will go a long way to curtail the water problem the home faces. She expressed the hope that the foundation will finally fulfill its promise by connecting water to the home. The Nyohini children’s home currently has 25 orphans with the senior most being 17years old.
